Larry Doyle is a local gay artist from Columbus Ohio. He is a member of Blockfort Studios. He has been making art for over 10 years. His work varies from fun cartoon characters to dark and realistic illustrations.
This piece, “Numbered Survivor”, is from the body of work “Keep the Ghost”. The show was about the importance of gay history focusing on the lives lost during Nazi Germany and how it relates to the public safe spaces queer culture has today. The painting is a figure of one who survived the camps, but will never be the same.
“Numbered Survivor” will be featured in Art for Life on September 15. See more of his work at lorenzoartwork.com.
